1. Chinese Government Scholarship-Chinese University Program
Chinese University Program is a full scholarship for designated Chinese universities and certain provincial education offices in specific provinces or autonomous regions to recruit outstanding international students for graduate studies in China. It only supports graduate students.
Supporting Categories, Duration and Instruction Language
1) Supporting Category. This scholarship only supports graduate students.
2) Duration. This scholarship only supports master’s students for no more than 3 academic years or doctoral students for no more than 4 academic years. The scholarship covers both major study and Chinese language/preparatory study, as specified in the Admission Letter.
3) Instruction Language

Scholarship Coverage
The Chinese University Program provides a full scholarship which covers tuition waiver, accommodation, stipend, and comprehensive medical insurance. Please refer to Introduction to CGS—Coverage and Standard for details of each item.
Where and When to Apply
Applicants can apply directly to Chongqing Medical University. The printed copy and scanned copy of the documents should be submitted to the university before March 30. As for the documents sent by post, the date of application shall be the date of arrival in Chongqing indicated by the postmark.

Eligibility :
1) Applicants must be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and be in good health
2) The requirements for applicants’ degree and age are that applicants must:
be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for the master’s programs;
be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for the doctoral programs.
2. Chongqing Municipal Government Mayor Scholarship
In order to strengthen mutual understanding and friendship between the Chinese people and people from the rest of the world, the Chongqing Municipal Government offers a variety of scholarship programs to sponsor international students and scholars to undertake studies and research in Chongqing institutions of higher education.

CRITERIA & ELIGIBILITY
1) Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and be in good health.
2) Education background and age limit:
- Applicants for undergraduate program must have senior high school diploma with good academic performance and be under the age of 25.
- Applicants for master’s degree program must have bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35.
- Applicants for doctoral degree program must have master’s degree and be under the age of 40.
- Applicants for Chinese language training program must have senior high school diploma and be under the age of 35.Chinese language is the only subject available.
- Applicants for general scholar program must have completed at least two years of undergraduate study and be under the age of 45. All subjects including Chinese language are available.
- Applicants for senior scholar program must have master’s degree or above, or hold academic titles of associate professor or above, and be under the age of 50.
